1. the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination

  • producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power

It is profound to create. In creation we find our true nature, and recreate ourselves. Giving voice to our deep well of creativity unleashes power and strength and knowledge within us that nothing else can. It is our hope that this art course will help your child begin their journey of soul-filling creation.

Course Details

The Art Studies is a beginning art course that seeks to open children’s minds to what art is, and how to apply art principles and knowledge to enhance their own creativity.  Built on a framework of hands-on, project-based learning, this 19-week course is designed for children ages 7-12, but can be utilized at older ages for anyone starting at the beginning.

You do not need to be an artist to confidently teach your child about art! Each week includes four easy to follow lessons, and simple instructions to complete unit specific projects and studies. Lessons will require 5-15 minutes of parental involvement at the beginning of each lesson. This helps your child learn to intelligently discuss art with someone else, and explore what they are learning, seeing, and feeling.

During your journey through The Art Studies, your child will learn about and create works of art that explore all of these principles and processes.
